Rocco Commisso, Executive Advisor

Rocco is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Mediacom (Nasdaq: MCCC), the 8th largest cable company in the country, which had its Initial Public Offering in February 2000.  He has over 21 years of experience in the cable television industry.  Prior to founding Mediacom in July 1995, Rocco served for nine years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cablevision Industries Corporation (CVI).  During his tenure, CVI grew from a small regional cable company to the 9th largest in the nation serving over 1.3 million customers, prior to its sale to Time Warner.  Rocco also served as Senior Vice President of Royal Bank of Canada’s affiliate in the United States where he founded a specialized group focused on lending to media and communications companies. He began his association with the cable television industry in 1978 with Chase Manhattan where he managed the bank's lending activities to communications firms.

Rocco is a former student-athlete at Columbia University, where he achieved both his BA and MBA.  He is an avid fan and financial supporter of Columbia’s Soccer team, and as such, came into contact with a fellow entrepreneur in Arman.  His entrepreneurial savvy and network within the finance, business and media communities provide 401kid with an invaluable resource. Rocco has assisted 401kid by making recommendations on strategic partner and financing sources.
