Carmine Vona, Chief Technologist
In addition to being an accomplished lecturer in the field of technology for the financial industry, Carmine Vona has over 30 years of experience in banking and technology. He served with Bankers Trust Company as senior managing director, executive vice president, and chief information officer from 1981 through 1996. During his 30-year tenure, Bankers Trust received many citations and accolades for its advancements in technology. After retiring from BT, Carmine founded Vona Information Services, a business consulting firm in New York whose clients have included many well known financial firms in the US and Europe. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of several institutions in the United States and Europe as well. He joined the Board of Metrosoft in 2001and was elected CEO in January 2002. He assumed the new role of Chairman of the Board in January 2003 and as Chief Technologist focuses on new product development and strategic opportunities. Carmine earned a doctorate degree in physics from the University of Naples (Italy) and has taught physics at universities in Italy and Brazil.
Carmine Vona has served as a Director of SeaChange since January 1995. Mr. Vona has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Vona Information Systems, Inc., a consulting firm, since June 1996.
Carmine brings his in-depth knowledge of employee-benefits platforms and highly sensitive financial transaction software to the 401kid development team. He has overseen the 401kid’s sophisticated software, ESP Wizard 2.0, which features the 529 plan and investment recommendation algorithms.
